Incent Award
Personal Statement
Applicants will need to attach a personal statement - approx. 250 words - stating why they think they would make a good recipient of this award.
Applying for a scholarship
Pupils must demonstrate academic potential or have a particular talent(s) or skill(s) so that they will make a significant contribution to some area of School life. The pupil must clearly demonstrate the potential to reach scholarship level in whichever talent or skill is being assessed - by being awarded a scholarship in one of the following areas: Science, Academic, Art, Drama, Music or Sport - to be considered for an Incent Award. The Peter Gibbs Science Scholarship falls under this category.
Please indicate on this form the relevant scholarship area you are applying for and complete an additional application form.
An application form is only required for the Academic Scholarship for 16+ entry as for entry into the Senior School the assessment is by invitation only.
Please note: Any scholarship or award may be withdrawn if it becomes apparent through the scholarship review and monitoring process that the pupil to whom an award was made is not meeting scholarship expectations as set out in the offer documentation and Scholarship and Awards booklet.
Please contact the Admissions Team at admissions@berkhamsted.com or 01442 358001, or the Sixth Form office 01442 358067, if you have any questions about your application.
In case of financial need, the value of Scholarships may be increased by the award of additional means-tested funding.
Parents applying for such funding will be asked to complete a confidential statement of their financial circumstances for consideration should their son or daughter be offered an award.
